Barry Bowers

CPA -– Partner

Barry joined the firm at inception in 2008. As partner, he focuses on client relationships, marketing, and coordinating accounting and tax services for small business clients from a variety of industries. Barry gained vast business experience long before he became an accountant. His long-term entrepreneurship efforts earn him a perspective that few accountants possess. Prior to returning to college, Barry successfully ran his own franchise business, Perma Glaze, for 7 ½ years. He worked in the equipment rental business, prior to that. Barry graduated from Sterling College in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He passed the CPA exam the next year and worked for other CPA firms and independently before partnering with Dave in 2008. Barry also has the distinction of being the area’s only Dave Ramsey ELP (Endorsed Local Provider) for tax services, meeting the stringent grade set by the syndicated financial guru Dave Ramsey. Barry and his wife, Monica, have been married for 34 years. Except for a brief period of time, they are lifelong residents of Great Bend. Barry serves as a volunteer for several local non-profit boards and has a talent for caricature style wood carvings.

“A lot of business clients come to us because they’’ve been with a larger firm and they just feel like they are falling through the cracks. Every time there is a new staff person, that’’s their contact and they don’’t get to see the partner anymore that they started working with. They don’’t feel like they are getting hands-on service. That’’s something we offer them.” –
